Maggie Adams, MFA
Maggie brings over 20 years of professional experience in the graphic design industry. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with a minor in Studio Art from California State University, San Bernardino in 2002, and later completed her Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from CSU in 2018.
At Front Range Community College, Maggie served as the Multimedia Graphic Design (MGD) Program Lead for eight years, playing a pivotal role in the program’s growth and success. During her tenure, she expanded course offerings, recruited and mentored industry professionals as instructors, launched a formal portfolio review process, established a student-led design agency, and spearheaded the department-wide publication AVANTART. She also developed partnerships with industry professionals to support real-world projects and internships, created Honors opportunities, and continuously strengthened the program’s alignment with industry standards. Her leadership has been instrumental in shaping a rigorous, career-focused design program at FRCC.
In December 2025, Maggie stepped away from her tenure-track position at Front Range to launch My Design Coach, a practice focused on graphic design consulting and online education. She is currently reentering the design industry with renewed focus and enthusiasm, bringing together her deep industry background and years of academic leadership to support designers, teams, and organizations. She continues to teach part time while the college completes the hiring process.
Maggie is deeply committed to mentoring students one-on-one and is focused on ensuring graduates are confident, skilled, and career-ready as they enter the design profession.
